Scene in Action was a performance piece directed by Aleta Hayes and performed at Stanford University to welcome the Anderson Art Gallery. I was hired to design costumes for sixteen dancers, organize critical data, work with manufacturers in Beijing, and perform alterations over the course of five weeks.

The one parameter of the piece called for a quick change from a 1940's chromatic silhouette to a contemporary minimalist one. To make this possible, every garment was designed to be reversible or easy to put on, enabling all the dancers to successfully quick change by themselves. Color blocking was done in primary and bold colors to harmonize with the art gallery pieces.
